Allocated first to the book and then the movie DVD.
Book written by Anthony H Wilson, published March 2002 by Channel 4 Books ISBN: 075222025X
Book: "Legendary founder of Factory Records and erstwhile owner of the Hacienda, Tony Wilson, tells his own unique story in his own unique way for the very first time. Reliving one of the most exciting pop culture explosions in recent history, what ensues is a tale of music, sex, drugs and the birth of one of the most famous clubs in the world. This is the first time Factory supremo Tony Wilson has told his story in his own words."
DVD: "This witty and compelling portrait of the eighties music scene is viewed through the eyes of Tony Wilson... Comedian Steve Coogan is brilliantly cast as the wry Wilson..."
The UK DVD was released in January 2003 (with the number FACDVD424) as a 2-disc package. HMV released a limited edition in a special sleeve with the same number. The movie was also released in other regions as a single-disc edition without the FAC number on the sleeve and with different sleeve artwork.

FAC 451

Additional Notes:
"I was really pleased to see Fac 451 listed on your web site. 'Love Will Tear Us Apart' - A History of the Hacienda was given the official Fac 451 number by Tony Wilson, as it was "for" 51 (the Hacienda). This was the first documentary that I produced and directed. It was a half-hour documentary which was transmitted by Granada Television May 1999. All the interviews were new interviews, and for many, it was the first time that they had spoken about their experiences of the Hacienda. The documentary is dedicated to Rob Gretton who sadly died a few days before it was aired. With the Hacienda's demolition is iminent, there is talk of this documentary being shown again nationally." - Jane Stanton
Notes from a viewer (David Ellcock): "It featured interviews with loads of people involved with the club, including Bernard Sumner, Peter Hook, Tony Wilson, Graeme Park, Mike Pickering etc. so it must have been made with their blessing. At the end of the programme, just before the credits, they showed the "FAC 51: The Hacienda" logo. In the bottom right hand corner of the screen, at the same time as the logo was showing, it said "FAC 451".
True to form, it seems that FAC 451 has also been allocated to the 'Party People film's reconstructed Hacienda set and filming party/session, as mentioned on FAC 433 and as shown on the ticket and t-shirts for the session.
"Tony Wilson marked the occasion by commissioning Factory designer Trevor Johnson to create special FAC451 (the FAC number assigned to the Haçienda set) tickets and t-shirts. However the man himself was nowhere to be seen on the evening. 'It may surprise some people, but I'm actually unbearably and painfully self-conscious' he said, the next day. Hmm..." (from FAC 433).
"One minor adjustment to your site. John Walsh designed (the) FAC 451 (tickets) not Trevor Johnson, although Trevor did get me the job..." (John Walsh).
